Western Australian Block sizes shrink to 80m2 lots

The WA Planning Commission wants more terrace housing in Western Australia with a new draft position statement released on Tuesday recommending the minimum green title block be shrunk from 100 square metres to 80 square metres.

Under the proposed changes, the micro-lots would be integrated within existing streetscapes to act as a buffer between high and low density developments as the state prepares to nearly double its population over the next 30 years.
